Steve Clark enters his 30th season as the head coach of the Wesley men’s soccer program in 2020-21 after taking over the program in 1990.

The longest tenured head coach in Wesley soccer history, Clark has been one of the best coaches in Division III and has transformed Wesley men’s soccer into a program full of success and tradition. His teams’ have taken several tours of Europe, including attending English Premier League matches and assisted the United Soccer Coaches Academy at their annual convention. He has taken pride into graduating student-athletes and turning players into leaders on-and-off the field.
Clark also served as Wesley’s Director of Athletics in the mid to late 1990’s. Clark started the women’s soccer, women’s lacrosse and cross country teams at Wesley. As Athletic Director, Wesley earned the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference President’s Cup (All-Sports Trophy) in 1998-99 as four teams won conference championships. He has been a member of the faculty and as the Director of International Programs for the College and helped several partnerships with overseas institutions and with ISEP, one of Wesley’s current study abroad programs.
The native of London, England, Clark holds an English Football Association Coaching License. He graduated from Manchester University, England in 1982 with an honors degree in Management Science. He received his Master's in Education in 1990 from Frostburg State University, Md., where he also served as an assistant soccer coach.
Clark lives with his wife Lisa and two beautiful daughters Gabrielle and Devon in Grasonville, Md.
