Wesley Falls in Heartbreaker

STEVENSON, Md. - Wesley dropped its Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) finale in a 5-4 loss at Villa Julie.

Luke Melillo picked up a pair of points for the Wolverines (2-6, 1-5 CAC), winning at fourth singles and third doubles.

Melillo was a 6-1, 6-4 winner over Villa Julie's (4-8, 1-4 CAC) Kevin Stamm in singles play and teamed with Adee Bautista at third doubles for an 8-6 victory over Stamm and Matt Kondilas.

At second singles, Mickey DeSouza edged Marc Allinson 7-5 in the first set, then notched a 6-2 win in the second.  Will Johnson improved to 6-1 on the year, defeating Ryan Speck in three sets, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.

Wesley concludes the regular season on Thursday, April 10, when Penn State Berks visits the DuPont Tennis Courts.
