Wesley Drops Regular Season Finale

DOVER, Del. - Will Johnson and Mickey DeSouza picked up singles wins for Wesley, but Penn State Berks took the remaining seven matches to defeat the Wolverines 7-2 in a non-conference match.

Johnson improved to 7-1 on the year, defeating PSUB's Rick Hengst, 6-2, 6-3. 

DeSouza also won in straight sets, toppling Tim Zabrosky 6-0, 6-4.

Luke Melillo and Will Sutton each fell in very tightly contested matches.  At fourth singles, Melillo dropped the first set, but forced a tiebreaker in the second set.  He ultimately fell to Andy Miller, 6-2, 7-6 (7-5).

Sutton lost the first set 4-6, but captured the second 6-2.  Matt Fetter took the super tiebreaker  and the match 11-9.

Wesley now prepares for the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championship Quarterfinals on Monday, April 14.
