FAIRFAX, Va. – Matt Bundy won the the 60m hurdles at the inaugural Capital Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday afternoon at the George Mason University Fieldhouse. The sophomore from Media, Pa., also took bronze in the 60m and 200m Dash as the Wolverines finished in sixth place overall.
Bundy's time of 8.43 in the 60m hurdles bested the next closest competitor by over a tenth of a second. A photo-finish in the 60m put his 7.09 time in third, just two-hundredths of a second behind the winner while his 22.68 in the 200m was eight hundredths of a second behind pace.
The only other individual to earn points for the Wolverines was Robert McCloskey with his 12.13m toss in the weight throw which placed him fourth.
Evans also set a school-record in the 400m with his 53.01 effort.
With the conclusion of the indoor portion of Wesley's schedule, the first outdoor meet for the Wolverines is scheduled for March 24 at the Golden Ram Invitational in West Chester, Pa.
