YORK, Pa. – Wesley College's Matt Bundy has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. This is the first time that Bundy has earned CAC honors this season.
Battling the flu at the Frank Colden Invitational last weekend, the sophomore from Media, Pa., won the 60m hurdles in a time of 8.19, breaking his own school-record and qualifying him for the NCAA National Championships. Bundy also anchored the Wolverines' second-place 4x200 relay team in a school-record 1:34.35.
Bundy and the Wolverines return to the track at the Ursinus College Open on February 8, in their final tuneup for the CAC Championships on February 17.
