Bundy, Wiggs Victorious at Loyola/Hopkins Invite

BALTIMORE, Md. – Robert Wiggs won the long jump and Matt Bundy dominated the 110m hurdles to lead the Wesley College men's track & field team to an impressive showing at the Loyola/Hopkins Invitational on a windy Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines finished with 43.5 points, finishing sixth of 12 schools, including victories over CAC rival, York (Pa.) and Division I Maryland.

Wiggs set a facility record and qualified for the ECAC Championships with a winning jump of 22' 1".  The Wolverines also got points from Zachary Taylor (21-05.50) and De'Vaughn Trader (21-01.50) in the event, which placed fifth and eighth, respectively. Taylor also took seventh in the high jump with a 5-08.75 effort.

Bundy took out a pair of runners from Salisbury in the 110 hurdles, finishing in 15.18 despite a devastating wind.  The junior from Media, Pa.'s nearest competitor was nearly four tenths behind.

Both Robert McCloskey and Mike Ford scored in the hammer throw as McCloskey took seventh with a 127-08 toss.  Ford finished just behind in eighth with a 119-01 effort.

In the javelin, Will Seeley took second in 157-04.

The sprint medley team of Tahir Carr, Alex CostleyTimmy Jadotte and Will Scott finished third in 3:56.84.
