SALISBURY, Md. – Patrick Schlosser and Carlton Sheppard earned convincing victories in the 400m and 800m, respectively, to lead the Wesley College men's track team on Friday afternoon at the Salisbury Last Chance on Friday evening.
A freshman from Montgomery Village, Md., Schlosser clocked a 49.30 to win the 400m Dash, defeating Robert Mayes from Christopher Newport, the CAC Champion in the event, by over two and a half seconds.
Sheppard led the 800m Run from the start, shaving four-hundredths of a second off his own school-record to finish in 1:52.41. The Baltimore, Md., native defeated the closest competitor by one and a half seconds. Sheppard also ran the fastest leg of the 4x400m Relay that finished in 3:20.17. Joining Sheppard on the relay was freshmen Anthony Brinkley, Markael Jenkins and Evan Le'Mon.
Jenkins also took second in the 100m Dash (10.76) and Brinkley took third in the 400m Hurdles (56.30). Also competing was freshman Johnny Crenshaw who took second in the 200m Dash in 22.10.
