4x100m to Run for NCAA Title Saturday

DELAWARE, Ohio – The all-freshman 4x100m Relay of Patrick Schlosser, Markael Jenkins, DaJahn Lowery and Johnny Crenshaw ran a Capital Athletic Conference record 40.98 in the preliminaries of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday afternoon to qualify for the finals on Saturday, May 24 at Selby Stadium on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.

The 4x100m Relay final will be held at 1:50 pm on Saturday.

Running in lane one, the Wolverines finished third in their heat and fourth among all schools in the preliminary heats. Greenville won the first heat in a Stadium-record 40.46, followed by La Verne (40.81) and the Wolverines.  Wisconsin-Whitewater took the second heat in 40.91.

Joining Wesley in Saturday's final will be Occidental (41.02), Augustana (41.04), Brockport State (41.07) and Mount Union (41.12).

Closing out the day under the lights was the 4x400m Relay squad of freshmen Evan Le'Mon, Anthony Brinkley, Schlosser and junior Carlton Sheppard.  Wesley wound up taking 13th overall in 3:15.59.
