Men’s Track Finishes 3rd at CAC Championships with Record Point Total

YORK, Pa. – Wesley College's men's track & field team took third overall at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships hosted by York (Pa.) at Graham Field.  The Wolverines recorded a program-best 100 points over the two-day meet.

De'Vaughn Trader and Dominic McAnulty both broke school-record while winning individual events on the day.  Trader set a meet record in the long jump, traveling 23' 6.0" which ranks in the top 20 nationally while McAnulty broke his own record in the 400m dash, clocking a 48.40, which was also a meet record.  Also scoring in the 400m dash was Vicco Bedell, who took the bronze in 49.12.

McAnulty and Bedell also received All-CAC honors in a pair of short-handed relays with McAnulty pacing the 4x400m Relay to the silver in 3:20.73 and Bedell leading the 4x100 Relay to second place in a season-high 41.44.  McAnulty was joined by Bedell, DaJahn Lowery and Urgy Eado in the 4x4 while Bedell and Lowery were accompanied by Trader and Greg Taylor in the 4x100.

McAnulty's day was not done on the scoring end, as he also took third in the 200m Dash in 21.96.

The other members of the relays also had success in individual events as well.  Eado took second in the 800m Dash (1:55.25) while also shattering his own school-record in the 1,500m Run in a time of 3:59.94.  Lowery also finished fourth in the 100m Dash (10.89).

Also earning All-CAC accolades was freshman Roland Attoh-Okine in the 110m hurdles (14.72).  Attoh-Okine also scored in the 400m hurdles with a fifth place effort in 56.30, just behind teammate Anthony Brinkley who finished third in 54.87, breaking his own school-record.

Sophomore Ryan Shilling also broke a school-record while placing third in the discus with a mark of 142' 3.0" while classmate Patrick Schlosser was just behind in 138' 11.0".

Also scoring on the day was James Okike in the high jump who took fourth in 6' 2.25".
