4x100 Relay Qualifies for Finals, Schlosser 13th after Day 1 at Nationals

CANTON, N.Y. – Wesley College's 4x100m Relay squad of Greg Taylor, DaJahn Lowery, Dominic McAnulty and Matt Bundy ran the 8th-fastest time (41.39) in the preliminaries to qualify for the finals at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday afternoon.  Sophomore Patrick Schlosser also scored 3,297 points and sits 13th of 20 athletes after the first day of the decathlon.

A sophomore from Montgomery Village, Md., Schlosser took second in the 100m Dash (10.87) and third in the 400m Dash (49.67) to highlight his day.  Schlosser will complete his decathlon Friday afternoon with the 110m hurdles, discus, javelin, pole vault and 1,500m Run.

Lowery, who hails from Suitland, Md., will compete in the prelims of the 100m Dash on Friday at 6:30 pm while the 4x100 Finals are set for 1:20 pm on Saturday afternoon.  Bundy will take part in the prelims of the 110m hurdles as well on Friday at 5:30 pm.

Also competing for the Wolverines on Thursday was De'Vaughn Trader (20' 8") who took 18th of 20 competitors in the long jump and the 4x400m Relay of McAnulty, Bundy, Urgy Eado and Anthony Brinkley who placed 14th of 16 in 3:17.76.
