Wolverines Show Well at NCAA Division III National Championships

GRINNELL, Iowa - The Wesley College Men's Track and Field team sent three individuals and a four-man relay team to the NCAA Division III National Championships and came home with a pair of All-American performances and a strong showing on the national level.

Anthony Simpson reached the finals in the 60m sprint, and finished in eighth with a time of 6.99 in the finals. DaJahn Lowery just missed qualifying for the finals, finishing with a 6.91 in prelims and missing the finals by just 0.05 seconds.

In the 200m, Simpson competed again, but fell just short of the finals. His preliminary time of 22.22 was just shy of earning a final spot, placing him ninth overall.

Roland Attoh-Okine shined in the 60m hurdles, earning the top finish on the national stage for the Wolverines. The sophomore hurdler earned a spot in the finals with a mark of 8.11 and followed that up with a 8.13 finishing time in the finals, good for sixth overall and an All-American nod.

The Wesley 4x400 team of Vicco Bedell, Carlton Sheppard, Patrick Schlosser, and Nick Stenderowicz finished with a time of 3:19.99 in the event, finishing 10th overall.

The Wolverines will look to build momentum from the indoor season and turn it into stronger and faster times in the outdoor season.
