CHESTER, Pa. - The Wesley College Men's Track and Field team kept their momentum going this spring as they took part in the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University on Friday and Saturday. The Wolverines earned a pair of event wins and several top five finishes.
DaJahn Lowery and Brandon Hunter each earned individual wins in their respective events. Lowery took first in the 100m run, crossing the finish in 11.11. Hunter earned an outright win in the triple jump, marking at 13.13m.
Carlton Sheppard took second in the 400m with a time of 49.12 while Nick Stenderowicz earned sixth with a 49.91 finishing time. Henry Miller earned a ninth place finish in the 400m hurdles, finishing in 58.47
In the field, Myles Garrison finished just behind Hunter in the triple jump taking third with a 12.85m mark. De'Vaughn Trader earned third in the long jump with a mark of 6.47m. Kyle Smith took second place in the discus with a 42.94m hurl. Antwan Ellerbe took third in the shot put with a heave of 13.15m while Alec Laise was Wesley's top finisher in the javelin, tossing the stick 46.65m.
Wesley will return to action this weekend when they travel to George Mason University to compete in another meet.
