Simpson, Sheppard, Trader Highlight Wolverines' All-Conference Selections

YORK, Pa. - The Wesley College Men's Track and Field team earned their best finish in the Capital Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, and parlayed that success into several student-athletes recognized with All-Conference honors.

Anthony Simpson was named CAC Rookie of the Year and earned All-CAC First Team for his performance in the 100m, taking first. He also earned Second Team honors for his performance in the 200m. 

Senior Carlton Sheppard was also honored on both the First Team and the Second Team. Sheppard took first place in the 800m to earn All-Conference First Team honors. He also took Second Team honors, teaming with Vicco Bedell, Nick Stenderowicz, and DaJahn Lowery to earn second in the 4x400m. 

De'Vaughn Trader wrapped up the Wesley First Team honors, taking first in the Long Jump to gain his second First Team honors, gaining them last year as well.

Alec Laise and Brandon Hunter each earned All-Conference Second Team honors as well. Hunter finished second in the triple jump while Laise finished second in the pole vault. 

Wesley will continue to press towards the NCAA National Championships when they take part in the Penn Relays this weekend.
