Wolverines Take Final Chances to Reach NCAA Championships

SALISBURY, Md. - With a handful of qualifiers locked into the NCAA Championships, the Wesley College Men's Track and Field team took to the track one last time at Salisbury University in an attempt to squeeze a few more competitors into the National Championship field. 

Greg Taylor ran a 10.82 100m dash with Dajahn Lowery following closely at 10.90 in the prelims. In the 200m, Anthony Simpson turned in a 21.89 finish. Carlton Sheppard won the 800m with a 1:53.21 while Roland Attoh-Okine finished the 110m hurdles in 15.10. 

In the relays, De'Vaughn Trader, Simpson, Lowery, and Taylor combined for a 4x100m time of 40.90 while Lowery teamed with Vicco Bedell, Nick Stenderowicz, and Sheppard to turn in a time of 3:13.77.

Trader was the only men's field competitor, putting up a 6.94m long jump.

The Wolverines will have to wait for the west coast meets to finish later this evening to see the final national rankings, and which of the team will travel to Wartburg College for the NCAA National Championships.
