13 Wolverines named USTFCCCA All-Mideast Region

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Thirteen Wesley College men's and women's track & field athletes were named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Mideast Region Team on Monday.

Seven men and six women earned All-Region status by the USTFCCA. To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.

Elizsha Streeter paced the Wolverines with three All-Region awards while Patrick SchlosserAngel HallBriana ArtisJasmine Brown and Quadira Minus each collected two awards.

Streeter, Minus, Hall and Artis each notched the best time in the Mideast Region in the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays. The tandem recorded a time of 47.46 seconds in the 4x100 at the Swathmore Final Qualifier on May 15 and a time of 3:46.77 in the Mideast Regional on May 18.

Streeter ranked fourth in the 200-meter dash in the Mideast Region with a 25.01 second effort at the Mideast Regional on May 18.

Brown registered the third-best mark in the triple jump and the fifth-longest mark in the long jump in the Mideast Region. Brown recorded a mark of 11.26 meters (36-11.5) in the triple jump at the TCNJ Lions Invitational on April 28 and a leap of 5.45 meters (17-10.75) in the long jump at the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championships on April 21.

Schlosser earned All-Region in the decathlon and as part of the 4x100-meter relay team with DaJahn Lowery, Terrance Mack and Greg Taylor. The 4x100-meter-relay team turned in the fastest time in the region (41.32) at the Widener Mideast Invitational on May 18 while Schlosser ranked second in the region in the decathlon, collecting 5,981 points at the Christopher Newport Captains Classic on April 14.

Roland Attoh-Okine tallied the best time in the 110-meter hurdles in the Mideast Region. He turned in a time of 14.50 seconds at the Mideast Invitational on May 18.

Also for the men, Rayshawn McRae notched the third-best jump in the triple jump with a 14.22 meter (46-8) effort at the TCNJ Lions Invitational on April 28.  Johnny Crenshaw turned in the fifth-fastest time (21.67) in the 200-meter dash at the CAC Championships on April 21.

Ashley Morris rounded out the All-Region honorees for the women with the fifth-fastest time in the region in the 100-meter hurdles (14.86).

Nine of the 13 Wolverines on the All-Region list will look to add All-American accolades to their careers as they compete in the NCAA Division III National Championships at Geneva, Ohio starting on Thursday, May 25.
