NEW ORLEANS, La. – Ten Wesley College track & field athletes earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Mideast Region accolades for the 2018 NCAA Division III indoor track & field season.
Six women and four men picked up All-Region status by the USTFCCCA. To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.
Thomas Kalieta Jr. paced the Wolverines with a pair of All-Region awards. Kalieta ran the second-best time in the 200- and 400-meter dashes. Kalieta ran the 200 meters in 21.82 and 48.66 seconds in the 400 meters.
Christian Saulsbury, Roland Attoh-Okine and Tre' Johnson collected All-Region accolades on the men's side. Saulsbury had the second-best time in the 60-meter dash (6.95), Attoh-Okine tallied the third-best time in the 60-meter hurdles (8.30) while Johnson registered the fifth-best mark in the triple jump (14.21m, 46-7.5).
The quartet of Hall, Artis, Minus and Woods recorded the second-fastest time in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:57.42.
Morris ran the third-best time in the 60-meter hurdles (8.94) and Sloboh clocked in a time of 7.83 seconds for the fourth-fastest time in the region.
A total of 772 honors were handed out to men's athletes, while 781 awards were bestowed to athletes from women's programs.
