Attoh-Okine, Kalieta advance to finals in second day of NCAA Championships

LA CROSSE, Wis – Wesley College senior hurdler Roland Attoh-Okine and freshman sprinter Thomas Kalieta Jr. qualified for the finals in their respective events in the second day of the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Kalieta placed seventh in the 400-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 47.47 seconds. Attoh-Okine turned in a ninth-place effort in the 110-meter hurdle preliminaries, finishing in 14.83 seconds.

All 10 Wesley College national qualifiers will compete tomorrow in the final day of the NCAA Championships. Tre' Johnson will compete in the triple jump starting at noon. The women's 4x100-meter relay will start at 1:15 p.m. Attoh-Okine will run in the finals of 110 hurdles at 1:50 p.m. Kalieta will race in the 400-meter finals at 2:10 p.m. The men's 4x400-meter relay will wrap up the day for Wesley at 4:50 p.m. All times are subject to change.
