Wesley Track & Field helps homeless in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Wesley College head track & field and cross country Stephen Kimes and members of the track & field team assisted the St. John's School in helping the homeless in Dover over the holidays.

The students and athletes assembled "Care Kits," which were backpacks filled with personal hygiene items, as well as socks, gloves and sweaters. Kimes, as well as other members of the Dover community taught the children of the St. John's School about the importance of teamwork, organization, planning and communication in order to complete the community service project.

The group donated the backpacks to the Dover Interfaith Mission Housing and the Dover Library in order to provide a helping hand this holiday season.
