Cole, Faulk named Atlantic East Athletes of the Week

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College men's track & field team swept the Atlantic East Conference Track & Field weekly awards with freshmen Kai Cole and Brandon Faulk being named Athletes of the Week.

For the fourth time during outdoor track & field season and third consecutive week, Cole was named the Track Athlete of the Week after winning three events at the Delaware State Hornet Invitational. Cole won the 100- and 200-meter dashes for the third time in the outdoor season. Cole turned in times of 10.51 seconds in the 100 and 21.53 seconds in the 200. Cole teamed with TySean Cousar, John Heriot and Isaiah Bodie to win the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 41.72 seconds. Cole also competed in the 125th Penn Relays in the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relays.

Faulk won his first Field Athlete of the Week award after breaking the school high jump record for the third consecutive week. He won the high jump at the Delaware State Hornet Invitational with a clearance of 2.03 meters (6-7.5). Faulk sits in a tie for 21st in the nation in the event.
