Wolverines Open at Delaware State
SMYRNA, Del. - The Wesley College men's cross country team opened its season at the Delaware State Invitational.
Competing against all Division I and II competition, the Wolverines were led by newcomer Richard Feeney (Bridgeton, N.J./Bridgeton). The freshman finished 15th on the 5,000-meter course in 18:04.20. Michael Liegey (Huntington, N.Y./Walt Whitman) turned in a 19:14.60 to join him in the top 25 with a 24th place finish.
Terry Harens-Walgreen (Shadyside, Md./Southern) and Mike Mango (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) rounded out the Wesley entries. Harens-Walgreen ran a 21:22.10 to finish 36th and Mango was 42nd in 25:07.65.
The University of Maryland-Eastern Shore claimed the team title, while the Wolverines were tied for sixth.
