Season Continues at UMES

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The Wesley College men's cross country season continued as the Wolverines ran their first 8,000-meters of the year at The Hampton Inn Salisbury North/UMES Cappy Anderson Invitational.

The Wolverines were just one of two Division III teams in the field, competing against eight Division I's.

Richard Feeney (Bridgeton, N.J./Bridgeton) paced Wesley in 43rd place in a time of 30:02.73.  Michael Liegey (Huntington, N.Y./Walt Whitman) finished in 31:02.27, good for 50th place.  Kareem Howard (Bronx, N.Y./Rice) made his collegiate debut and turned in a 33:53.24 to place 62nd.

Terry Harens-Walgreen (Shadyside, Md./Southern) was 67th in 34:51.77 and Alex Dello Buono (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) was 70th in 36:26.62.

Norfolk State captured the team title with just 21 points and produced the individual champion in Josef Tessma, who ran a 24:43.91.
