Wesley Finishes Season at CAC Championships

YORK, Pa. - Wesley College wrapped up its men's cross country season on a snowy course at John Rudy Park at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by York College of Pennsylvania. 

Richard Feeney (Bridgeton, N.J./Bridgeton) led Wesley on the 8,000-meter course in a time of 31:55.71 in 47th place. 

Michael Liegey (Huntington, N.Y./Walt Whitman) took 79th in 35:24.04, one place and 32 seconds ahead of Alex Dello Buono (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn)Terry Harens-Walgreen (Shadyside, Md./Southern) and Mike Mango (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) rounded out the scoring for the Wolverines.

The host Spartans ended the stranglehold Salisbury and Mary Washington have had on the CAC Championship.  York became the first team in 21 years besides the Sea Gulls or Eagles to claim the crown. 

The Spartans had the top three individuals, including Tim Hartung, who was top finisher in 28:29.28, just 0:00.02 ahead of teammate Steven Childres.
