Softball to hold “Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer” game on March 26

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College softball team will be hosting a "Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer" game on Tuesday, March 26 against Salisbury.

"Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer" is an initiative created by the Go4theGoal Foundation for teams around the country to show their commitment to the fight against pediatric cancer. Every year in the United States, 15,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer.  Go4theGoal works with hospitals across the country to provide financial assistance, grant wishes, develop and fund unique hospital programs, and fund innovative research.

The softball team will be wearing yellow shoelaces and t-shirts for the Go4theGoal Foundation and will be accepting donations for the Bepositive foundation. To donate, click HERE.

Sophomore outfielder Kelly Palmer will be throwing out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the doubleheader on Tuesday in honor of her late best friend Meghan Johnson. Meghan passed away on Nov. 21, 2017, after a long, but courageous battle with Stage 4 Glioblastoma Brain Cancer at the age of 18, just five days shy of her 19th birthday.
