Dover, Del. - The Wolverine pitchers dominated the day limiting the Giants to three runs over two games. Senior hurler Dori Loukopoulos tossed a 2-1 win in the opening game. The Wolverines did just enough to squeak out a win in that game. In the second inning Freshman Rachel Martinez singled scoring Gab Monzo and then Loukopoulos helped herself at the plate and she smacked a two bagger RBI in the bottom of the 4th which would be the last run the Wolverines would need to secure the win.
In game two of the double header Keystone scored first, but it was nearly all Wesley after that. Kylie Nagle had an rbi double in the bottom of the first inning. That was not the only big hit of the day for Nagle as she banged out a grand slam in the second inning. Shanyn Burch got the ball for the Wolverines where she struck out seven giants in four innings. Abbey Mayse closed the game in three up three down fashion.
On the day Ariana Mirenda lead the team offensively contributing five hits in seven at bats. The Wolverines return to action next Friday in their first conference action on the year vs the Atlantic East preseason poll favorite the Immaculata University Mighty Macs.
