Softball completes series sweep of Neumann
The Wesley College softball team completed a four-game series sweep of the Atlantic East Conference preseason poll ranked number two Neumann Knights.
 
Yesterday in the first doubleheader of the series, Abbey Mayse earned wins in both games. The relief pitcher in both games, Mayse shut down the Neumann bats scattering 6 hits over 7.1 innings of work. She was also credited with 0 earned runs and helped herself at the plate with two hits and two RBI's. Gab Monzo once again lead the offensive charge going 4-6. 
 
In the second double header of the weekend, Dori Loukopoulos dominated in the circle earning both wins to clinch the series sweep. Loukopoulos struck out 10 in 8.1 innings of work. Gab Monzo and Kylie Nagle both smacked home runs while Bianca Newsom swiped four bags and hit in Ariana Mirenda in the top of the 7th giving Wesley the lead they needed to close out the game with a victory. 
 
The Wolverines return to DuPont Field Friday in a double dip at 3&5pm vs. the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins. The game will be the teams annual pink game recognizing breast cancer awareness as well as 2021 Hall of Fame inductee Ashlyn Booth.
