Owens Named CAC Player of the Week

YORK, Pa. - Wesley College forward Angie Owens (Seaford, Del./Seaford) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week after a big game in the Wolverines' season opening win.

The junior put up 16 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in the come-from-behind victory at Catholic. Owens, who also contributed a blocked shot and a pair of three-point shots, totaled 10 points and 12 boards in the second half after Wesley trailed by seven at the half but rallied for a 15-point win.

Wesley will travel to the Starter's Pub Tip Off Classic, hosted by DeSales on November 21-22.
