CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - DeSales closed the first half with a 19-5 run and never looked back, claiming an 89-39 win over visiting Wesley College at the Starter's Pub Tip Off Classic.
The Wolverines led 18-16 after Jazmine Miller (Dover, Del./Dover) hit Heather Fuller (Greenwood, Del./Sussex Tech) for an easy bucket with 8:34 to go in the opening period.
The Bulldogs, however, closed the half with a game-changing run and led 35-23 at the half.
Miller and Aleisha Hobbs (Salisbury, Md./Mardela) tied for the team-high with eight points. Miller also had eight rebounds and three steals. Rachelle Allen (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) had seven steals, while Fuller blocked four shots.
Sondrine Glovas had a game-high 22 points for DeSales.
Wesley will face the loser of the Widener/Juniata contest in the consolation game on November 19 at 1:00 PM.
