Women's Hoops Falls To Spartans
YORK, Pa. - The Wesley College's women's basketball team fell in Capital Athletic Conference action to York College, 85-46, on Wednesday night at Charles Wolf Gymnasium. The Wolverines are now 6-18 on the season and 3-12 in the CAC while the Spartans improve to 20-4 overall and 13-2 in conference play.
A native of Dover, Del., Jazmine Miller led the Navy & White with 17 points while dishing out five assists and swiping four balls. Heather Fuller was the only other Wolverine in double figures with 13 points.
York outshot Wesley, 48.6% to 32.7% and nearly doubled the Wolverines on the glass to score 18 second-chance points. The Spartans also forced 17 Wesley turnovers which turned into 22 points.
Wesley closes out the 2011-12 season on Saturday, February 18, when it hosts undefeated and No. 7 Mary Washington at 2 pm.
