Women's Basketball Falls to N.C. Wesleyan

ROCKY MOUNT, NC – The Wesley College women's basketball team fell against North Carolina Wesleyan, 73-60, on Saturday evening in their season opener. The game was played at Everett Gym as part of the Jean Edge Eagle Classic.

Brionna Johnson recorded a double-double in her first collegiate start. Johnson knocked down 22 points and grabbed 22 rebounds to lead the team. Roniece Williams also made her first career start and scored 11 points with four rebounds for the Wolverines. The Women's team shot 20-65 (30.8%) from the field and 20-38 (52.6%) from the line.

Wesley returns to Everett Gym against Methodist for a 3:30 PM start.
