DOVER, Del. – Brionna Johnson and Tiara White each notched double-doubles but it was not enough as Wesley College's women's basketball team fell to Salisbury, 55-36, on Wednesday night at Wentworth Gymnasium. The Wolverines now stand at 3-10 overall and 0-6 in the Capital Athletic Conference.
Johnson recorded a team-high 13 points and 11 rebounds while White added 10 points with ten rebounds coming off the bench. However, Wesley shot just 29.5% from the field and turned the ball over 33 times, leading to 23 Sea Gull points.
Making her collegiate debut, Kadijah Doughty pulled down seven rebounds for the Wolverines.
Salisbury's Sarah Seipp tallied a game-high 16 points while Anna Hackett added 13 points with nine assists.
St. Mary's plays host to Wesley on Saturday, January 18 at 2 pm.
