Kerns Career Day Lifts Women's Basketball over Frostburg

FROSTBURG, Md – The Wesley College Women's Basketball team defeated the Frostburg State University Bobcats, 79-67, on Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines advance to 10-8 overall, 6-6 in conference, while the Bobcats fall to 1-16, 0-12 in the CAC.

Brittney Kerns had a career day, scoring 18 points in the win. Brionna Johnson put up another double-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and Alexus Stroud scored a team high 19 points. Tiyanna Gibbs and Tiara White each brought in ten points for the Wolverines.

White downed a lay-up in the second minute of the game to give the Wolverines a lead that they would hold on to for the entire game.

Frostburg guard, Ronje James, scored a game high 25 points in the match as well as assisting on another eight baskets for the Bobcats.

The Wolverines return to the court when they travel to Glassboro, New Jersey where they will face Rowan University on Monday, February 2 at 7 PM.
