DOVER, Del. - After leading the Wesley College Women's Basketball team to a two-win week, junior Tiyanna Gibbs was named Wolverine of the Week.
Gibbs was essential to the success of the Wolverines this week, averaging 14.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and two steals per game. The junior scored 12 points and pulled in seven rebounds against Rosemont and followed that performance with a 17-point, 12-board double-double in a win over Arcadia on Sunday. Gibbs has recorded a pair of double-doubles and has netted at least 12 points in all but one of Wesley's games, leading the Navy and White to a 4-1 start to the season.
Gibbs and the Wolverines will return to action on Wednesday night when they open their Capital Athletic Conference schedule with a visit from the Marymount University Saints. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
