Stroud paces Wesley against Frostburg St.

FROSTBURG, Md. - The Wesley College women's basketball team fell on the road to the Frostburg State Bobcats, 90-60 Saturday afternoon in a Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) contest.

Alexus Stroud led the team with 16 points and nine rebounds in the loss.  Monshea Newsome-Murray chipped in with nine points, a team-high five assists and four rebounds for the Wolverines. 

Paige Hailstock and Kiara Johnson collected eight points apiece while Brittney Kerns and Stacey O'Neale each tallied seven points respectively. Kerns also added a team-high four steals.

Alexis Welch scored 18 points for the Bobcats.

The Wolverines (7-12, 3-9 CAC) will return home to Dover on Wednesday, Feb. 1 when they host Route 13 rival, the Salisbury Seagulls at 6 p.m. at Wentworth Gymnasium.
