Wesley drops home contest to Salisbury

DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College women's basketball team suffered a tough loss, 60-50 to Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) rival Salisbury Seagulls Wednesday night at Wentworth Gymnasium. 

Junior guard Alexus Stroud paced the Wolverines with a team-high 14 points and eight rebounds. Stroud also dished out three assists in the loss.

Freshman guard Paige Hailstock also tallied double-digits, tying a career-high with 11 points. Hailstock also pulled down five boards. The guard tandem Monshea Newsome-Murray also recorded five rebounds for the Wolverines.

Freshman guard Stacey O'Neale contributed off the bench with eight points.

Lauren Rothfeld led the Seagulls with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

The Wolverines (7-13, 3-10 CAC) will travel to Arlington, Va. on Saturday, Feb. 4 for a CAC contest against the Marymount Saints. Action is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
