Johnson records double-double against York

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College women's basketball team battled against the York College Spartans in a Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) matchup on Wednesday. The Wolverines fought hard but fell to the Spartans, 75-60.

Senior forward Brionna Johnson did well for the Wolverines, notching season-highs in points and rebounds to tally her fifth double-double of the season.  Johnson scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Johnson was 8-of-15 on her field goal attempts and drained 6-of-7 from the free throw line.

Junior guard Alexus Stroud also scored double figures for the Wolverines, netting 18 points aling with five rebounds. Senior guard Adriane Fraser added nine points and three rebounds in the loss.

Morgan Kuehne led York with 16 points.

The Wolverines (7-15, 3-12 CAC) will head down to Virginia on Saturday, Feb. 11 for a CAC contest against the eighth-ranked Christopher Newport Captains. Action is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
