O’Neale paces women’s basketball against York

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College women's basketball team stumbled at home, 87-53 on Wednesday against the York (Pa.) Spartans in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) action.

Stacey O'Neale made an impact off the bench, leading the Wolverines with 12 points, knocking down two three-pointers and grabbing four rebounds for the Wolverines.

Monshea Newsome-Murray also recorded double-figures, scoring 11 points along with six points and six rebounds.

Paige Hailstock and Tiyanna Gibbs each registered nine points and six rebounds. Gibbs added two steals and an assist.

Morgan Kuehne led all scorers with 17 points for York. She also reeled in a game-high nine rebounds.

The Wolverines (2-3, 1-1 CAC). are back in action this Saturday, Dec. 2 when they travel to Buena Vista, Va. to take on the Southern Virginia Knights. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
