Newsome-Murray. Pedersen net double figures in conference loss to Marywood

SCRANTON, Pa. – The Wesley College women's basketball team stumbled on the road to the Marywood Pacers, 72-50 in Atlantic East Conference action on Saturday.

Sydney Pedersen and Monshea Newsome-Murray tallied double figures in the loss. Pedersen notched a team-high 17 points along with six rebounds. Newsome-Murray scored 12 points and added six assists and six boards.

Shelby Johnson registered nine points and four rebounds. SherVohnia Tolson and Angelique Gathers picked up five points and four rebounds respectively off the bench.

Natasha Harding notched a double-double with 20 rebounds and 18 points to lead Marywood.

Wesley will step out of conference play on Tuesday when they travel to Langhorne, Pa., to take on the Cairn Highlanders. The game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
