Women’s Basketball stumbles at Marymount in final road contest of season

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Wesley College women's basketball team fell 64-31 to the Marymount Saints in the Wolverines' final road game of the 2018-19 season.

Angelique Gathers tallied a team-best 14 points. She knocked down 4-of-7 from the three-point line and added four rebounds.

Jameshia Baker and SherVohnia Tolson each scored four points respectively. Lekeshia Brown-Myrick netted three points while Monshea Newsome-Murray, Paige Hailstock and Megan Shacklock all chipped in with a pair of points. Newsome-Murray reeled in five rebounds, dished out three assists and blocked two shots. Hailstock grabbed four rebounds in the loss.

Katie McShea led Marymount with 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Wesley will wrap up the season on Saturday when they host the Neumann Knights in conference action. The game is scheduled to start at noon. Prior to the game, Wesley will honor senior guards Stacey O'Neale and Monshea Newsome-Murray.
