Middletown, Pa. - The Women's Basketball team capped off their travel weekend on Sunday with a 63-41 win against Lehman. Angelique Gathers received the All-Tournament honor after leading the team with 18 points, 6-for-11 from the field, 4-for-8 from behind the arc and went 2-for-2 free throws. Gathers also tallied five steals and five rebounds.
Wesley took control of scoring the first half of the game, leading 22-12 with 5:30 left before the half. Lehman made a lay-up to open scoring in the third but a turnover by Newsom allowed Brown-Myrick to score, 33-16.
Both teams traded points the remainder of the third, but Wesley led by 20 going into the fourth. The Wolverines maintained control the remainder of the game and put up 15 more points for a 63-41 win.
Wesley shot 40 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from behind the arc and 43.8 percent in free throws.
The Wolverines will travel to Salisbury on Tuesday Nov. 26 at 5:00 p.m, before they are back in Wentworth gym for their home opener on Sunday, Dec 1 at 1:00 p.m.
