Women's Basketball Falls on the Road to Neumann

Aston, Pa. - The Wesley Women's Basketball team (5-8, 0-2) traveled up to Neumann (5-10, 1-1) on Saturday, Jan. 11th to continue conference play. The Wolverines fell to the Knights, 48-71.  

Bianca Newsom led the team with a season high 12 points. Angelique Gathers posted 10 points of her own and eight rebounds. Lekeshia Brown-Myrick added nine pointsnine rebounds and three steals to the loss.

The Knights went into the half leading 32-26. 

The second half of the game Wesley started out strong but that was not enough as Neumann outscored the Wolverines 39-22 to take the win. 

Wesley shot 32.7 percent from the field, 21.4 from behind the arc and 61.1 percent from the free throw line. 

Next up the Wolverines travel to Immaculata on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
