Dover, DE – Wesley's Women's Basketball team dropped their match against Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday night, 115-75 for their sixth straight loss.

Wesley looked to be keeping up with Gwynedd Mercy's offense, only trailing 26-19 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw the Griffins score 13 unanswered points with 1:38 left, when Megan Shacklock made a free throw, the first point for Wesley in over four minutes.

After the half, Wesley continued to struggle keeping the ball as more fouls and turnovers helped the Griffins outscore the Wolverines on every offensive drive. By the end of the third quarter, Gwynedd Mercy had put their lead well out of reach, 93-51.

Wesley's 24-point surge in the fourth quarter was not enough to make a comeback against the Griffins who used their full-team sub outs to their advantage all game.

Shervohnia Tolson put up 12 points while grabbing seven rebounds in her effort to breathe some life into Wesley's offense. Lekeshia Brown-Myrick scored 10 points, dished five assists, and secured six rebounds.

The Women's Basketball team will look to snap their losing streak at Marymount this Saturday at 3p.m.
