DOVER, Del. - Wesley trailed just 7-5 early, but a run to end the half helped No. 18 UMW pull away for a 26-9 win.

A goal by Alyssa Prudente (Hereford, Md./Hereford) with an assist from Mia Brocco (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) brought the Wolverines to within 7-5 with 8:48 to play in the first half.

The Eagles, however, scored six unanswered goals over the remainder of the half to build a 13-5 lead.

In the second half, UMW chose not to slow the pace, matching their output from the first half, including three goals in the final minute and a half.

Prudente paced Wesley with four goals in the game.  Brocco added three goals and an assist, along with three ground balls and three draw controls.

Nina Cornog (Wilmington, Del./Concord) had five ground balls and five draw controls.

Alyssa Batty (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks West) got the start and stopped 12 shots.  Lauren Murtha (Levittown, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) came on in relief and stopped three shots.

The Wolverines look to get back in the win column on March 19 with a road trip to Shenandoah.
