Shenandoah Overpowers Wesley 21-7

WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah opened the game with a 10-1 run and never looked back, taking a 21-7 win over Wesley College.

Corrinne Kosmowski had all six of her points, three goals and three assists, for the Hornets (6-2) in the game opening run.

Back-to-back goals by Mia Paltrineri (Middletown, Del./Middletown) and Mia Brocco (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) cut it to 10-3 with 7:02, but Shenandoah scored three straight after that and carried a 13-4 lead into the half.

The Hornets put the game away with a six consecutive goals to start the first half. 

Brocco and Nina Cornog (Wilmington, Del./Concord) had two goals each for Wesley, while Jen Jacobs (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) added a pair of assists. 

Alyssa Batty (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks West) made eight saves, as did her counterpart Ashley Cross for the Hornets.

Samantha Sisson had four goals and an assist for Shenandoah.  Sydney Anderson had two goals and two assists, as did Amy Rollins. 

Wesley hosts Rutgers-Camden on March 22.
