DOVER, Del. - Wesley College had three players with five point evenings as the Wolverines downed Rutgers-Camden 17-9.
Back-to-back goals by Annalise Strojan made it 3-3 with 13:53 left in the half, but a goal by Brocco less than a minute later started a 6-0 run to the end the half that put the Wolverines (3-6) up 9-3 at the half.
After Strojan's third goal of the night opened the second half, Wesley ran off eight consecutive goals to take a 17-4 lead after a free position shot by Anna Baker (Rock Hall, Md./Saint Peter and Paul) with 12:10 on the clock.
Brocco also had three ground balls and four draw controls in the game. Jacobs caused a pair of turnovers and two of Prudente's tallies came on free position shots.
Nina Cornog (Wilmington, Del./Concord) led the team with five ground balls, while Mia Paltrineri (Middletown, Del./Middletown) and Sarah Johnson (Honeybrook, Pa./Twin Valley) both had two caused turnovers.
In addition to three goals, Strojan added three ground balls, five draw controls and five caused turnovers. Alexa Giampietro netted three scores and assisted on another.
Wesley will look to stay in the win column on March 24 at Penn State Abington.
