Frostburg Downs Wesley in Snow

FROSTBURG, Md. - With heavy snow falling during the game, Frostburg State defeated Wesley College 15-4 before the game was called with 11:30 to play due to the weather.

The Bobcats (4-7, 3-2 CAC) scored the game's first five goals before a mini run by the Wolverines (5-7, 1-5 CAC) cut it to 6-2 after a Mia Brocco (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) score with 10:18 left in the first half.

Frostburg State added six unanswered scores before the half, however, and took a 12-2 lead into the half.

Brocco added a goal and an assist in the second half before the contest was called.  She also finished with four ground balls.

Alyssa Batty (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks West) made 19 saves and tallied six ground balls.

Jen Jacobs (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) and Mia Paltrineri (Middletown, Del./Middletown) also scored for the Wolverines.

Mallory Brunett led Frostburg State with four goals and two assists. Ali Kapustin added three goals and an assist.

Karoline Miller made five saves before giving way to Naomi Swann in the second half.

Wesley travels to Marymount (Va.) on April 2.
