OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Wesley College's women's lacrosse team fell to No. 20 Stevenson University, 21-3 on Wednesday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action.  The Wolverines are now 4-7 overall and 0-5 in the CAC.

Jen Jacobs scored twice to lead the Navy & White while Alyssa Prudente added two points on a goal and an assist.

Defensively, Alyssa Batty led the way with 12 saves in 53:40 of playing time.  Jorden Lutz tallied a team-high three ground balls.

The Mustangs (5-4, 2-1 CAC) were paced offensively by Kelly Lukas (5g, 2a) and Marissa Meiklejohn (4g, 2a).

Stevenson got out to a 10-0 lead before Jacobs got Wesley on the board with a free-position goal with 6:07 left in the first half. The Mustangs responded with a score of their own but a tally by Prudente with 1:00 left in the period allowed Wesley to go into the break trailing, 11-2.

Four straight Mustang scores to open the second half gave Stevenson a 15-2 advantage before Jacobs found the back of the net off a pass from Prudente.  The Mustangs closed out the contest with six-straight goals.

The Wolverines are back in action on Sunday, April 1, when they travel to Mount St. Vincent for a 1:00 pm non-conference matchup.
