Prudente Named Second Team All-CAC

YORK, Pa.Alyssa Prudente has been named to the 2012 All-Capital Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Team, the league office announced Thursday afternoon. A native of Manchester, Md., Prudente was named to the CAC Second Team and she is the first Wolverine to earn All-Conference honors since Brooke Bennett received second team accolades in 2010.

A senior midfielder, Prudente led the CAC with 109 points and 63 goals while finishing second with 46 assists.  All three totals were Wesley single-season records and she ranks in the top-ten nationally in points, points per game and assists.

Prudente also set numerous Wesley single-game records as she tallied seven assists in wins over Penn State-Abington and Rosemont.  She later one-upper that record with a career-high eight dimes in a Senior Night victory over Lancaster Bible on April 16.  Her 11 total points that game is believed to also be a Wesley single-game mark.

After four years donning the Navy & White, Prudente owns Wesley career records for points (216) and assists (77) while ranking third in goals (139) and seventh in draw controls (66).  She is also the only player in school history to tally at least 100 goals and 50 assists.

Salisbury's Katie Bollhorst received the CAC Player of the Year award while Megan McGuirk of Marymount earned Rookie of the Year honors.  York's Jen (Dragoni) Muston was named the CAC Coach of the Year.
