Women's Lacrosse Falls To #2 Salisbury

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College women's lacrosse team fell to No. 2 Salisbury, 21-2, on Tuesday afternoon at Scott D. Miller Stadium.  The Wolverines fall to 5-8 overall and 0-5 in the Capital Athletic Conference while the Sea Gulls remain unbeaten at 12-0, 4-0 in league play.

With goals from Kirsten Ward and Tristin Burris early on, Wesley trailed just 5-2 with 10:53 left in the first half.  However Salisbury ran off four straight goals to close out the half and tallied 12 unanswered goals in the second half for the victory.

Alyssa Batty made 16 saves for the Wolverines in just over 55 minutes of action before giving way to Katherine Cooke, who stopped two shots.

Kate Haker and Maggie Roundy each had six points on five goals and an assist for the Sea Gulls.

On Thursday, April 11, Wesley will visit Notre Dame (Md.) in a 4:30 pm start.
