Schirmer makes nine saves against St. Mary’s

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Wesley College women's lacrosse team were upended, 17-0 by the St. Mary's (Md.) Seahawks in a Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) matchup on Saturday.

Goalie Shelby Schirmer paced the Wolverines with nine saves in net.

Francesca Benitez picked up two ground balls while Brianna Bacon had two shots for the Wolverines.

Meg Gesner tallied five goals and three assists for the Seahawks.

The Wolverines (5-3, 0-3 CAC) will take a break from conference play when they head up to Pennsylvania on Monday to faceoff with the Lancaster Bible Chargers. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
