Bacon, Brehm net goals against No. 13 Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wesley College women's lacrosse team stumbled in a road Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) contest against No. 13 Salisbury, 18-2 on Wednesday.

Paige Brehm and Brianna Bacon both netted first-half goals for the Wolverines. Brehm's marker came off of a free-position shot with 13:41 to go in the first while Bacon put away an unassisted goal late in the half.

Francesca Benitez picked up three ground balls in the midfield for the Wolverines.

Shelby Schirmer made eight saves in goal in the loss.

Gianna Demato led the Seagulls with three goals and an assist.

The Wolverines will be back in action on Saturday for a non-conference tilt against the Delaware Valley Aggies at Drass Field. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
